There are two sites along the railway that are managed.
The first Heathmont railway line site is found along the Belgrave railway line opposite Bennett Avenue. It is also known as the Silver Banksia site. This is because the Banksia is commonly refered to as Silver Banksia due to the white underside of its leaves which gives the plant a “silver” look.
The second Heathmont railway site is north of the railway station car park. This site started the group, many years ago. It was at this site that the PTC wanted to extend the car park. Heathmont Bushcare was formed to protect this beautiful site.
