Hi All
We are beginning a new initiative starting this Monday – October 21st. We will be meeting in one of the reserves in the local area to work on bushland regeneration activities. The work will initially involve gentle hand weeding around some of the remnant vegetation and will be followed up with some re-vegetation. We will be working with Maroondah City Council Bushland team in identifying, protecting and enhancing some of the valuable local vegetation communities.
The first session will be held at Heathmont Reserve (Enter via Waterloo St Melway 63 J1) 9am – 12pm. Tools and morning tea will be provided, bring your own gloves. As this work will be outdoors in the bushland please have sturdy footwear and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.
These sessions will run if there is light rain however, if there’s lightning, high winds and hail they will need to be cancelled. If you would like to join us please let us know by return email. At this stage we are looking to hold these sessions fortnightly, if you would like to be added to the ‘reminder email list’ please let us know.
