Hi All

Our next Monday Mornings in the Reserves outing will be October 17th. We will be meeting at 9am at Rozelle Ave East Ringwood (Mel 50 F 10) and continuing work on the revegetation bed there. If you wish to join us please bring your own gloves all tools and morning tea will be provided.

Our next seed cleaning evening will be on Wednesday October 26th. We will be meeting in the tearoom at the nursery at 7pm and preparing collected seed for storage & sowing. Supper will be provided.

We are collecting articles and items of interest for our next newsletter please forward information to the editor lhibbs@ihug.com.au.

The Maroondah Festival will be held on Sunday Nov 6th from 10.00am to 4.00pm  at Town Park,Norton Rd, Croydon – http://www.maroondahfestival.com/ . As in previous years, Maroondah Bushlands, CRISP Nursery & Candlebark will be sharing Marquee.

Wanderslore Sanctuary, 2180 Warburton Hwy, Launching Place is holding an Open Day on Sun Oct 23rd from 10.00am – 4.00pm . Wanderslore is a 23 acre Trust for Nature Bush Sanctuary with a variety of Vegetation Communities incl towering eucalypts, fern gullies, and creeks.  Activities include guided and self-guided walks, and photographic art display. Refreshment for sale. Admissions  free.

As in previous years, Manningham, Nillumbik & Banyule Council’s are combining to hold a ‘Spring Outdoors Program’ of environmental activities. The first activities were in September and the last is on Nov 28th. Activities include Vegie Swaps, Breakfast with the birds, Frog talk & walk. The Mullum Mullum Festival AGM will be held on Sun Nov 20th.  at the Field Naturalists Club Hall, I Gardenia St., Blackburn (Mel 47 K10) at 2.00pm  Dr.Gary Presland will give a presentation of “The Landscape of Aboriginal Melbourne, followed at 3.30pm by the AGM. Everyone Welcome. No Charge. RSVP appreciated (but not essential) mmf.committee@gmail.com or Ph 9719-7661. NB The next festival will be in Spring 2017 ie NO festival in 2016.

Save the Date – the CRISP Annual End of Year Celebration BBQ will be held at the nursery on Saturday 10th December from 12pm.
